In re De Luca (San Jose Bankruptcy) Downing represented two creditors who had been defrauded in a real estate transaction. Downing entered into a $380,000 settlement with the Chapter 7 Trustee.

Marin County Collection Case. Collected $230,000 against various Defendants.

Nolasco v. Galvan (Oakland Bankruptcy Court). Firm represented Debtors in an adversary proceeding based on allegations that Debtors fraudulently undervalued their business. After trial, judgment was entered in favor of Debtors. Debtors received their discharge and were also able to avoid the judgment lien filed by the plaintiffs against their house.

Franco v. Galicia and Moran (San Francisco Bankruptcy Court). Firm represented Debtors in an adversary proceeding based on allegations that Debtors, who operated various construction companies, had defrauded them, and that they had failed to accurately report their assets and income. Debtors prevailed after trial.

Criminal Case (Nevada Superior Court – Truckee). Firm represented a Defendant who was pulled over with over 10 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle. Charges were reduced to a misdemeanor and Defendant served no jail time.

Criminal Case (Nevada Superior Court – Truckee). Firm represented a Defendant who owned a home in which his son had set up a large grow operation. At a preliminary hearing, the charges were dismissed against the father.
